  Acute inflammation of the gall bladder in the absence of gallstones
• History / PE:
  RUQ pain
  Fever
  
• Diagnosis:
  Abdominal U/S
  HIDA scan
• Complications:
  Emphysematous cholecystitis
• Associated With:
  Prolonged TPN, fasting
  Extensive burns
  Severe trauma
  Mechanical ventilation
