Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo BPPV

• Facts:
  Caused by labyrinth dysfunction
  Approximately 30% occur after head trauma
• History / PE:
  Acute vertigo (sensation of head spinning)
  Precipitated by recumbent head position
• Notes:
  Vertigo is defined as illusory feeling of head movement
  DIzziness is a sensation of unsteadiness and imbalance
• Differential Diagnosis:
  Presyncope (lightheadedness with visual blurring)
