thunder
" appearance on fundoscopic exam (optic disk swelling, retinal hemorrhage, dilated veins, cotton wool spots)
Treatment
:
None shown to be really effective
Associated With
:
Coagulopathy
Hyperviscosity
Chronic
glaucoma
Atherosclerotic risk factors (HTN, diabetes)
Differential Diagnosis
:
Central retinal artery occlusion
(pallor of optic disk, cherry red fovea, painless loss of vision in one eye)
