History / PE
:
Recent URI, followed by sudden onset cardiac failure
Diagnosis
:
Low ejection fraction
Dilated ventricles with diffuse hypokinesia
Associated With
:
Alcohol (macrocytic anemia, stop ETOH to reverse)
Viral/idiopathic myocarditis (coxsackie B)
Post partum myocarditis
