Medial medullary syndrome

  • Facts:
    Typically caused by the occlusion of the vertebral artery of one of its branches
  • History / PE:
    Contralateral spatic hemiplegia
    Contralateral vibratory and proprioception loss
    Tongue deviation to the affected side
