  • History / PE:
    Joint pain (worse with exercise, improved with rest)
    Bony crepitus/enlargement/tenderness
    Heberden's nodes (DIP)
    Bouchard's nodes (PIP)
  • Diagnosis:
    Joint space narrowing and osteophyte formation (xray)
  • Treatment:
    Weight loss
    NSAIDs , acetaminophen, chondroitin sulfate
  • Associated With:
    Baker's cysts
  • Differential Diagnosis:
    Rheumatoid arthritis (no DIP involvement, RF)
    Psoriatic arthritis ( psoriasis )
