MCC is viral (eg. coxsackievirus)
History / PE
:
Non-radiating, retrosternal pain, relived by leaning forward
History of viral upper respiratory prodrome
Low grade fever
Diagnosis
:
EKG shows
diffuse ST segment elevation
Elevated ESR
ECHO for possible
pericardial effusion
Treatment
:
NSAIDs
Pericardiocentesis
Hemodialysis
(for
uremic
pericarditis)
