Pregnancy Luteoma

  • Facts:
    Usually found in multiparous AA pregnant women
    Benign, self limited condition

  • History / PE:
    Bilateral solid ovarian masses
    1/3 of pts have hirsuitism and virilization
  • Diagnosis:
    Solid ovarian tumors on U/S
  • Treatment:
    None necessary
  • Differential Diagnosis:
    Theca lutein cysts, which are bilateral and cystic, as opposed to solid like luteoma (rule out high beta-HCG states)
