  • Facts:
    Autosomal dominant disease
    Abnormal blood vessel formation
  • History / PE:
    Recurrent nose bleeds
    Oral lesions
    Diffuse telangiectasias
    Digital clubbing
  • Diagnosis:
    AVMs in skin, mucous membranes, GI tract
  • Notes:
    AVM's in lung can shunt blood from R to L, causing hypoxemia, and a reactive polycythemia
  • Differential Diagnosis:
    Polycythemia vera
