  • Facts:
    Caused by an intracellular Gram negative organism commonly spread by cooling towers and water supplies
  • History / PE:
    Fever, cough
    Lung consolidation
    GI symtoms (diarrhea, abdominal pain)
  • Diagnosis:
    Hyponatremia
    Elevated LFTs
    Urinary antigen test
    Culture on charcoal agar
  • Treatment:
    Azithromycin
    Levofloxacin
