Leprosy Mycobacterium leprae

• Facts:
  Chronic, granulomatous disease
  Primarily affects peripheral nerves and skin
  Progressive nerve damage may lead to muscular atrophy
  
• History / PE:
  Insensate, hypopigmented plaques
  
• Diagnosis:
  Acid-fast bacilli on skin biopsy
