Osgood-Schlatter disease Traction apophysitis

• Facts:
  Typically affects males 13-14, females 10-11
  From rapid periods of growth
  Quadriceps tendon puts traction on apophysis of tibial tubercle
• History / PE:
  Edema / tenderness over tibial tubercle
  
• Diagnosis:
  Anterior soft tissue swelling
  
• Treatment:
  Activity restriction
  Stretching exercises
  NSAIDs
