    A 55 years old

    L DH > 350 IU/L
    A AST > 250 IU/L
    W BC > 16,000/mL


    AFTER 48 HOURS ("C HOBBS")

    C alcium < 8.0 mg/dL

    H ematocrit decreased by > 10%
    PaO2 < 60mmHg
    B ase excess > 4 mEq/L
    B UN increased by > 5 mg/dL
    S equestered fluid > 6L
