  Defect in hydrogen secretion
  In children, often genetic
• Diagnosis:
  Hypokalemia
  Urinary pH > 5.3
• Treatment:
  Potassium citrate
• Complications:
  Nephrolithiasis , nephrocalcinosis

• Associated With:
  Cirrhosis
