  • Facts:
    MCC is parvovirus B19 (adults who have contact with kids)
  • History / PE:
    Acute, polyarticular, symmetric arthritis
    Resolves within 2 months
  • Diagnosis:
    Lack of inflammatory markers
    May see positive RF, weakly positive ANA
  • Treatment:
    NSAIDs
  • Associated With:
    Hepatitis
    HIV
    Mumps
    Rubella
  • Differential Diagnosis:
    Rheumatoid arthritis (chronic disease)
    Osteoarthritis (chronic disease)
    SLE arthritis (chronic disease)
    Sarcoidosis (polyarthritis, MC affects ankles and knees)
    Seronegative spondyloarthropathies (asymmetric arthritis, - RF)
