    Filamentous, anaerobic gram positive organism
  • History / PE:
    Cervicofacial, thoracic, abdominal disease
    Sinus tract involvement
    Infected area drains yellow fluid
  • Diagnosis:
    Sulfur granules
  • Treatment:
    High dose penicillin G for 6-12 weeks
  • Differential Diagnosis:
    Tuberculosis
    Nocardiosis (aerobic)
    Mucormycosis (necrotic turbinates)
