History / PE
:
Abnormal, homogenous white vaginal discharge

Fishy
" smell
Diagnosis
:
Amsel
CRITERIA (3 out of 4 needed)
1) Thin, gray-white vaginal discharge
2) Vaginal pH > 4.5
3) Positive "whiff" test with KOH
4) Clue cells
Notes
:
Not transmitted through sexual intercourse
Differential Diagnosis
:
Trichomonas vaginitis
(flagellated organisms)
Candidiasis
(thick, white discharge)
