Dark brown discoloration of the colon with lymph follicles shining through as pale patches (colonoscopy)
Diagnosis
:
Brown pigment (lipofuscin) in macrophages (biopsy)
Associated With
:
Chronic laxative
(eg. bisacodyl) abusers
Differential Diagnosis
:
Peutz-Jeghers syndrome
