Otosclerosis

• Facts:
  Stapes footplate becomes fixed to oval window
  MCC of conductive hearing loss in adults
  Found in middle aged individuals
• History / PE:
  Begins with low frequency loss
• Diagnosis:
  Bone conduction > air conduction ( RInne test )
  CT to confirm diagnosis
• Differential Diagnosis:
  Presbycusis (sensorineural, bilateral hearing loss)
