Placental previa

• Facts:
  Obstetrical complication, where the placenta is attached close to the covering of the cervix
• History / PE:
  Painless 3rd trimester bleeding (bright red)
• Complications:
  Antepartum hemorrhage
• Associated With:
  Uterine contractions (20% of time)
• Differential Diagnosis:
  Placental abruption (painful bleeding)
  Vasa previa
