    Compressive narrowing of the lumbar spinal cord
  • History / PE:
    Positive "shopping-cart" sign (patients more comfortable leaning forward)
    Pseudoclaudication (increased pain with walking)
    Weakness, sensory loss
  • Diagnosis:
    MRI spine (facet osteophyte impingement)
  • Associated With:
    Osteoarthritis (degenerative joint disease)
  • Differential Diagnosis:
    Herniated disc (positive straight leg raise)
    Leriche syndrome (impotence, claudication, LE atrophy)
    Peripheral vascular disease
