Tinea corporis "Ring worm"

• Facts:
  Superficial fungal infection
• History / PE:
  RIng-shaped scaly patches with central clearing and distinct borders
  Itching
• Diagnosis:
  Microscopic examination using KOH (see hyphae)
• Treatment:
  2% antifungal lotions or creams (eg. terbinafine)
  Systemic treatment with griseofulvin (for extensive disease)
  
• Differential Diagnosis:
  Cellulitis (painful,erythematous, indurated lesions)
